Registered as UP International College Foundation Studies Programme
The UP International College Foundation Studies Programme is taught at our campus in Wellington, New Zealand and online around the world. We aim to prepare all students for entry into Victoria University of Wellington and equip them with the skills to succeed.
We are ready to help you succeed in your studies. In order to ensure a smooth start, we have arranged a series of orientation activities for you, and in some cases your parents too, so that you are all set to begin classes as planned.

All sessions are held in New Zealand Standard Time.
Onshore Student Registration – UP International College New Zealand (UPICNZ) | ||

Session 1: Welcome to VUW and Subject Selection | ||
|
This session is designed to meet the Head of College and learn more about your chosen programme. There is also an opportunity at the end of the session to ask any questions you may have. |
Session 2: Introduction to Digital Tools | ||
| Introduction to Blackboard which is our Learning Management System and where all resources will be available. Access to student email and how to navigate it. |
Session 3: Getting the Most out of Your Study | ||
| Take students through tips and guidance for learning – both online and onsite. Making the most out of lesson times, how to communicate effectively with your teachers, planning your independent study time. |
Session 4: Study in New Zealand | ||
| Introduction to the support teams and services. |
Session 5: Q&A with Programme Leaders | ||
| Open session for any questions that students might have before they commence their study. |
Checklist
Before each session:
- Check that you have a stable internet connection
- Set up your microphone and camera
- Use your school log-ins when joining the Orientation sessions if it is available
During orientation:
- Login to Blackboard
- Login to your student email
- Set up Outlook
- Set up Microsoft Teams
